£6,732.23 raised for Velindre Cancer Centre from gruelling challenge

Four members of staff from Bartholomew Hawkins Chartered Financial Planners in Cardiff and 3 friends completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge to raise the funds.

The challenge is to climb the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours;

Ben Nevis at 1344m in the Scottish Highlands; Scafell Pike at 978m in the Lake District and Snowdon at 1085m in North Wales.

The team; Richard Lord, Tracey Morris, David Hulse, Anthony Bonar, Alex Down, Andy Rees and Heidi Morris-Barber, braved hailstones, sleet and snow to complete the gruelling challenge on the weekend of 24th-25th October 2014.  Read the full blog here.

To raise extra funds, the team also organised a charity ball at the Park Plaza in September, hosted by former Wales & Cardiff Blues star Tom Shanklin.
