The ride took place on the weekend of 20 & 21 June and started in Holyhead, North Wales. We then spent the next 2 days cycling finally finishing in Cardiff Bay on the Sunday afternoon. It was a gruelling ride with plenty of hills and rain, resulting in most of day 1 being spent in the clouds! There were numerous sore legs and pulled muscles, but thankfully all the team completed the ride safely and to our amazement there were not any punctures.
Now that the charity ride has been completed, attention turns to our annual charity dinner which is being held on Thursday 17th September, the Eve of the Rugby World Cup. The dinner is being held at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff and will include a 3 course dinner with wine, followed by entertainment and a charity auction. All proceeds will be going to the #StayStrongForOws fund. Tickets are priced at £60 each or tables of 10 for £600.
