Financial Planner Anthony Bonar is a busy Financial Planner who looks after clients in Swansea and the rest of West Wales. Anthony is a sociable character and is well known amongst his clients and peers for being approachable, professional in his role and very likeable. In his spare time he very much enjoys taking part in various fitness challenges raising money for charities such as cancer, which is close to his heart, as well as other charities in the Swansea area.

And he does it all with a smile on his face!

Anthony took part in a cycle from Cefneithin near Swansea, via Cardiff and finishing in Bristol by the suspension bridge recently, with 30 other cyclists recently raising thousands of pounds for three local charities: Mudiad Cancr Golau (a Swansea-based cancer charity), Bobbyandfriends.co.uk (in memory of British Super Featherweight and WBC International Super Featherweight champion Robert Dickie) and Wales Air Ambulance.

Anthony said:

“I’ve done a few charity bike rides and walks in my time and very much enjoy them. This is quite different in that I’m part of a bigger team this time and Bartholomew Hawkins are the main sponsors for the event so I have to make sure I complete it!”

On completing the cycle Anthony said:

“The cycle was a fantastic two days. I had time to get to know the other people who were riding and chatting along whilst on the bike made the time fly by. We took the more scenic route to Bristol and I have to say the scenery was spectacular and the support fantastic. Well done to all who took the time out of their busy lives to take part in an amazing event.  My next fitness challenge is to do the National Three Peaks in October with some of my colleagues. So Pen y fan is next on my list to climb in order to get fit enough for it. We are raising funds for Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff – Wales’ largest non-surgical cancer centre”.
